Anita was at
Mwanaidi’s home. Mwanaidi was her childhood friend and they shared their
secrets and life stories together.
“Mwanaidi I
think mom hates my fiancĂ©.”
“Why would
you say that?”
“She told me
to cancel things off with him.”
“She is still
hurt from the great war. She lost someone really dear to her.”
“I know that.
She was not the only one, but why can’t she move on?”
“I am not
sure about that. Maybe if she gets to know him, she might change?”
“Maybe. I
will try to make her change. I love him so much.”
“Yes, I know
you do. You have been talking about him ever since you met him by the river.”
“Of course. I
thought I was dreaming when I saw his beautifully shaped body and his
appetizing smile. I drooled and got lost in his handsomeness to a point I did
not realize he was right beside me. When he talked I almost fainted, but he
caught me in his huge soft arms. When he spoke, I felt my heart beating. When
he asked we meet again, I thought he was lying. When I saw him again and again,
I kept falling in love over and over again.”
“That is
nice. You are still drooling over and over again. Hahaha”
“Ha, very
funny. So how is your boyfriend?”
“He is…”
As Mwanaidi
was speaking there was a large scream.
“What was
that? It came from the middle of the village.”
With that the
two ladies ran towards the noise.
