It is going to be a challenge.
This is not what he bargained for. It would be too awkward. What should he do?
If he left, the boy would feel like it was his fault. He didn’t want that on
his conscience. He had to do something. He didn’t see himself in their future.
Michael and Ivy started dating
in their later years at the university. It was a beautiful relationship, and
everyone thought they were meant for each other, even their parents. Michael
felt like he had found his soulmate in Ivy. He was completely blinded by love,
and would have done anything for her. After graduating they decided to let each
other settle for 3 years before getting married. It would seem everything was
OK.
However, things took a turn for
the worse when Michael was presenting the dowry to Ivy’s parents. Upon arrival,
the door was opened by a 5 year old boy. Michael introduced himself together
with his posse, and asked the boy to call his family. The negotiations started
off well, and everybody seemed happy with the arrangements.
During lunch, Michael
approached the boy. For some strange reason he seem bothered by something, and
had a hard time shaking it off. The boy introduced himself as James, and
happily called Ivy his mother.
